Someday you must tell me this…

Someday you must tell me this…

When the sky turns a little grey
And the clouds begin to crowd
When the little angels play the harp
And the music is not too loud
Do you care to stop and watch
the magic in those tiny drops
Someday you must tell me this
Does your heart sing a song?
At the beauty of the morn

When the birds hustle in their nest
And the bees aren’t all about
When the trees sway and sing along
And the streams dance with anklets on
I often wonder how you feel
Does it make you smile, does it make your world reel
Someday you must tell me this
What is it then that you wish?
Do you wish for time to stop?
In that moment when you want to be lost

When tiny droplets paint your fence
And the only sound is simple silence
When you hold those moments in your eyes
and the world is like a paradise
Do you then listen to your heart beat
Do you feel it hurry or does it appear weak
Someday you must tell me this
Is it an illusion that I miss

When the earthy fragrance nourishes your soul
And the moist air offers you a little more
When the butterflies appear straight out of the blue
And you see colours of different hues
Do your lips curl in simple delight?
In other words do you watch and smile
Someday you must tell me this
Do these moments really exist?
When you see the morning star
And it appears neither too near nor too far
When the tide is on the high
And there is an empty boat nearby
Do you ever wish to travel?
Across the seas to wander and marvel
Someday you must tell me this
Is this also what you wish?
Someday you must tell me this….

About The Author: Kaisar Patel

Have been a teacher for more than twenty five years now but there is a vagabond in me that surfaces every now and then .The three most important words for me are 'I am here'. I believe in humanity and in humility, in magic and in miracles and of course Shakespeare...cause what's life without a bit of Drama!!!
