The Fidget Spinner

The Fidget Spinner

Young and old are all the same
When it comes to learning the rules of this new game
It’s called instant gratification, you see
It gives you a high and it holds the key
To all the problems that you can’t solve
Cause time has turned you into a rugged ball
You drag your days and curse the moonlight
You seek too much with all your might
You don’t want to lose but winning won’t help
It’s a quick fix before you excuse yourself
We need a fidget spinner, we need it, I say
It will help us spin our troubles away
Our minds are vacant, our hearts are sour
We quote the Buddha and speak of Gods
But we don’t practice what we preach
We dig our own graves with instant feed
So don’t blame the spinner, don’t blame it, I say
Don’t blame a child or his mother in any way
Instead spin the fidget, let it move
Watch the smile it brings to you……
